Steel weight calculation

how to calculate weight of steel of a given diameter!?

to calculate the weight of a steel bar of any given diameter you just have to put that diameter to this formula and voila! it does the magic for you:

               And.......... the formula is:

                                    (D2 /162.162)

bear in mind! this formula is just for any 1 meter length ,when the length gets more than one meter you just simply multiply it by that number of meters.

for instance, you want to know how much would a 18cm bar with the total length of 2m weigh up!?
                          So,
                                     x=182 /162.162     =>324/162.162=1.99~2KG
                                     (     thats the weight of 1 meter 18cm bar    )
Now multiply it by 2 to get the total weight :
                                                         1.99 kg*2 m  =4 Kg
